This Maytag Performa Gas Range Oven can be absolutely frightening to anyone brave enough to try and cook with it! (Whirlpool, who bought Maytag and had nothing to do with the manufacturer of this range fixed it at their cost. I standby what I said about Maytag, but the Whirlpool people are great... and I suspect that the Maytag name is now affixed to Whirlpool appliances as a kind of "Stencil Name", so you should be ok. A big thank you to the Whirlpool folks who cleaned up a big mess that they never even made.... Thanks Whirlpool!!
